This fantastic promo made for Templetons, a long established carpet manufacturer in the city, exposes the complex warp and weft of international trade in the second half of 20th Century. This promo weaves Templetons into British empire and other overseas markets, importation of raw materials, interdependency between heavy and service industries, design, the complexities manufacture and the emerging consumer economy.
Worth watching just for the now hilarious how to be a carpet designer.
