Getting the best out of Best Laid Schemes

Best Laid Schemes is a new type of documentary telling its story using films from the Scottish Film Archive collection.

It offers you the opportunity to view clips, grouped by subject, and the full films in the collection that these clips come from.

Sending video down a phone line is still in its infancy. Best Laid Schemes should work both for dial-up modem and a broadband connections.

Important technical requirements:

You will need QuickTime 6 or greater to view the clips and films and Flash 6 or greater to make the most of this site.

Victims of our own success.

Best Laid Schemes has been very popular in the weeks since its launch.

In that time we have made it even more compatible with older set-ups and viewable on more people’s computers. This demand has put pressure on the server and you may notice visably better results at less busy times (we have).
